The contents of Kaito's fireworks warehouse/workshop - specifically, the unused chemicals - are to be given to LIEWEN LABORATORIES. No exceptions.
- Incomplete fireworks are also to be disposed of by the lab.
- Any finished fireworks will be distributed at LIGHT'S discretion.
The aforementioned warehouse, once made safe, will go to JOLYNE for use as a TV/film studio if she so wishes. If not, she can sell it or give it away to whomever she likes.
Ownership of the Silver Moon bar will pass on to DAVE (NPC), with the caveat that KAIN HIGHWIND is welcome to resume ownership if he wishes to since the bar used to belong to him. All current employees will retain their jobs (Rin Matsuoka, Lorraine Conyers, Choromatsu Matsuno).
The Jacob's House will initially be offered to RIO AND RYOUGA KAMISHIRO as a home. Instructions on how to manage the garden in the back (particularly the herbs and Hemlig flowers) have been left in the shed. There will be a note stating that one of his workers, Lorraine, is using one of the rooms upstairs to keep a change of clothes etc. and that Kaito would like for her to continue using it as long as she needs.
Finally, he asks that funds be given to ENJOLRAS for repairs to Pandemonium (if still needed) with whatever remains going to RIO to spend as she likes.

PERSONAL ITEMS

Kaito's notes on fog days goes to [xander]. (Kaito is unaware this is SANDRATH'S username so he is unable to give delivery instructions beyond 'ask on the network'.)
His notes on the bullet runes from this thread will be left to LIGHT YAGAMI.
The angular necklace and the journal Kaito took away from the Street to Nowhere event will be given to STOCKE via Rio.
Kaito's small notebook on natural remedies and herbs is to be given to KAIN HIGHWIND.
A small stone bird, about the size of a human hand, for LOKI.
All other personal effects will be under the care of RIO KAMISHIRO to do with as she sees fit. Of particular note:
- Conan's notebook (left by Conan, now left behind by Kaito)
- His notes on monster features
- His silver pocket watch
- The rhinestone brooch
- A white scarf with a dove and clubs hand-stitched into it + pack of hand-illustrated tarot cards (originally from Loki)
- The vinyl disc with his dad's supposed final message
- His card gun
- The fake Pandora gem dubbed 'Pseudora' (+ instructions on its use/peculiarities)
- His magic contact lenses
- And finally, a cushioned box containing a gold bracelet set with the stone Rio found underground during the Holes event (a small note inside reads 'Happy Birthday')

[ This envelope is found on the desk inside his workroom, left in plain view and with the recipient's name carefully scribed on the front. It has not been sealed: instead, the flap's corner has been tucked into the envelope's fold. There are three sheets of paper inside.

The first is dated around the beginning of September and reads as follows-- ]

Dear Rio,

If you're reading this then I'm not around any more. I wish I could have said goodbye properly but none of us have any control over when the Fog God will send us away, so I'll have to say it here.

I'm really glad to have met you. If I take nothing else away from my time here, I hope I can at least remember you and everything you've been to me. Before I met you, I didn't think it was possible for someone like me to fall in love. But you've supported me, stood by me, even shaken me up when I needed it. It makes me think that maybe one day, if I do return home, I can find someone who'll be just as accepting as you are. Even if that happens though, they're never going to be like you.

I left instructions for what to do with my assets and money etc. on a separate sheet of paper. There should also be several more letters in a locked box in the corner of the workroom. 'KID' will tell you the combination. Could you please deliver them for me?

Please take care of the doves in my place. If you can, please check in at the Silver Moon from time to time as well. I'm pretty sure Dave can manage fine on his own but he's only human. I don't envy him having to manage all of Lorraine's broken plates in my place.

Dearest Rio,

I doubt I have anything to say that hasn't already been articulated by my other half, so I will try to keep this brief: you have been a light to us in our darkest times and I hope that you don't fall too deeply into grief when we are gone. As of writing this, we have known you just shy of a year. However, I feel that year has been more than enough to call what we have 'love'.

It is strange to admit that I, a thief, have had his heart taken by another, but that is precisely what has happened. Though I may smile and flirt with many a man or woman in the weeks or months to come, it is all empty sentiment. You, Rio, are the sole beneficiary to this living, beating organ inside my chest. (I hope that doesn't sound too strange given where we are.)

I'm grateful for the chance to have been able to show you the depth of my affection at least once before our departure. I know that if I remember our time here, I will continue to dream of you: of the way your skin glows under moonlight, of the glimmer of mischief in your eyes when you tease, and most of all, of how beautiful you look without anything else to accentuate your figure. I wish - I hope - that I can make love to you again, but if not, that matters little. That's not the value you have to me. To us.

I won't ask you to keep yourself from loving others in our stead once we leave. I would rather you find happiness with another than forever lament our absence. It's cruel of me to leave you after so short a time and I can only hope you don't come to hate me for it.

It was a passionate affair that we had, and a loving one as well.

[ As mentioned in Kaito's letter, this page details all of Kaito's wishes with regards to his property, wealth, and other items. (See top of page for summary)

It includes details about the location of all the relevant deeds, paperwork, etc. Kaito has kept them filed neatly in the same locked box as the letters. All the transferral paperwork already has his signature - all that's left is for the other party to claim the deeds.

The only particular comment about the letters is this: ]

Give the one addressed 'Greed' to Stocke as well. He'll get it where it needs to go.

Dear Stocke,

Hopefully you're still around to receive this. I'm sorry for going on ahead of you but I suppose that's how life works here. So many of my other friends have disappeared already and it almost feels like I'll be next.

Anyway, I want to thank you for being my friend. I didn't think I'd ever call you one but you're a really nice guy behind that stoic face. I'm going to miss you when I'm gone, assuming I remember I was ever here. You don't seem like the type who'll look upset when a friend leaves but I bet you'll feel sad over it anyway. From what Kid said, you're really good at hiding your emotions - probably better than either of us. Make sure you find someone who you can be yourself around. Trust me, it's not healthy to keep everything back like that and Kid also tells me that the Nest guys aren't exactly people you go to for heart-to-hearts.

I thought about leaving something for you in case I ever disappeared but I couldn't think of anything apart from the stuff I found in Motasvard. Turn that fake emerald into something and wear it maybe if you haven't already. Or hang it somewhere in your room at the Nest. You're not the kind of guy who wears accessories, are you?

You've been in Ryslig a long time. I really hope you find your way home someday to that Rainy person.

Hey boss,

If you've got this then I must have disappeared or gone back home or whatever. Sorry to leave you in the lurch like that. It was great fun working with you and the others at the theatre and I hope business remains up even though I won't be around to draw in the crowds. Could you please make sure all my equipment and tools go to that group of amateur magicians who have been coming by to see my shows? I'm sure they'll work out what everything is for eventually.

If you're reading this then I'm no longer around. I want to thank you for letting me use the labs even though I don't work there. You sure rocketed up to an important position really quickly, huh? Felt like no time at all before you went from waiting tables to managing Liewen's lab, and then heading part of the Toyotomi's coup. Be careful you don't make any enemies along the way. "Nails that pop up get hammered down" and all that.

Anyway, I wanted to ask one last favour: can you please make sure the unfinished fireworks in my workshop are disposed of properly? I don't want them to be lying around so that any idiot can grab them and blow themselves up. Your lab can keep whatever chemicals I have left over in the workshop in return.

(Actually, can you also take the finished ones? Give them to whoever you like or keep them for yourself. Just make sure they're not taken by anyone irresponsible. They're explosives, not toys. I'll leave instructions behind on how to handle them just in case.)

Though brief, our time working together is an experience I won't soon forget. You have given me a taste of a world which I've previously only dipped my toes in before and I find myself wanting to dive deeper. I don't know how much time will pass before this letter makes its way to you. However, know that I am grateful to have been accepted as one of your own - and, may I add, it has been a pleasure to work with you.

But now it is time for me to take my last bow and say farewell. I imagine Stocke will be more than willing to fill you in on the particulars of my disappearance in my stead.

Dear Kain,

It feels weird writing this. I can't be as frank as I was around you before, but I don't want to hold anything back either. You're so familiar but you're also different, and I guess I'm sorry I didn't spend as much time as I should have with you. It's just hard you know? I didn't want to push myself on you but I also wanted to go to you whenever I didn't know what to do. That would have been weird though, wouldn't it? You're not that much older than me (or are you younger than me now?) but you felt so much more like an adult than I was.

Anyway, this letter may not mean as much to you as it would have before but I wanted to leave something behind. Thanks for being there when I needed help. Thanks for bringing me back when I nearly believed Elias' words. Thanks for being a friend.

I couldn't say this to you before you left last time. I know you're not one to be mushy or emotional either but I hope you don't feel too sad. ~~If you see Rosa or Cecil or their son again~~

Since you're reading this, I'm probably not going to see you again. I may as well confess it here.

You were right, Kid was never a different person. He was me, but he was also not me. For months I've had his voice in my head but not in the same way as Elias speaks to you. He's actually there. I thought I was insane for a while but I didn't really feel insane so I thought, maybe he really does exist.

Don't think too hard about it. One body, two minds. That's all.

Not much else to say other than to be careful of Elias. You're a decent guy but you're going to get in trouble over how much devotion you're paying him someday. I appreciate everything he's done for me too but there's a point where it goes too far, you know?

Well, I guess I can't stop you now. So as long as you're happy, that's all I can hope for.

Hey Loki,

I'm going to miss you a lot when I'm gone, assuming I can still remember everything that happened here. You were a good friend and a great opponent to us and you probably would have had a lot of fun with the Task Force back home. I know Kid in particular is going to be sad about leaving you behind. You were one of the few people who bothered to come to his heists and you solved his riddles so easily.

Hope Ryslig doesn't treat you too badly. Thanks for everything.

[ This slip of paper is a small ofuda written entirely in Japanese (left-right, not top-down). It should defy interpretation despite the 'universal language' thing going on in Ryslig.

Loki should also get a stone dove from Rio, about human hand-sized. Once he sticks this piece of paper on it, the bird will animate and act like a real bird. It won't stray far from Loki and the charm will last about a month unless something damages it. ]
